Question: Peter, turning back to the subject of near death experiences (NDE), are you surprised by the "flood of testimonials" happening today?
"As you may now know, with the advent of the digital age, now more than ever, near death experience (NDE) survivors are telling their story and impacting millions. A famous non-fiction author, Sebastian Junger, (writer of the bestseller, 'The Perfect Storm') had a profound NDE recently while working outside on his cabin. A former war reporter and professed atheist, he suddenly came "face to face with an idea of an afterlife."
"He was with his wife outside in the woods working on their cabin home when he felt a terrible pain in his abdomen . . .by the time he arrived at the hospital he began seeing 'unexplained death bed visions.' While on the gurney, looking down to his left he saw 'a huge black pit' sucking him in and became more scared. Then, his dead father suddenly appeared floating above him, and said, 'It's okay you don't have to fight it, you can come with me and I'll take care of you.'"
Question: Do you see the irony in some of the NDE witnesses?
"I find it amazing that some of the most profound near death experience testimonials are from atheists. It's as if God is sending them back to Earth, to complete their 'human experience mission' confessing there is life after death and nothing is more important than love."
