Question: Peter, the above image is from Dante Alighieri's, 'Divine Comedy,'depicting the realm of the heavenly angels.  What is it about the realm of the angels that so captivates us?

"To know that ultimately we have "Divine Protection,' comforts us.  Even from our birth, we have been assigned a guardian angel. 'Our human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession (see Angels in Christianity).' The beautiful image below is of the mosaic ceiling above the Saint John Baptistry in Florence, Italy. Dante Alighieri was baptized there and later in life it was reported he saved the life of a child who nearly drowned.  Calling all angels!"

"In this image below, a painting, 'Assumption of the Virgin,' by Francesco Botticini, depicts three hierarchies and nine orders of angels, each with unique characteristics."

Question:  Is Jesus Christ, the King of the Angels?

"In Roman Catholic teaching, 'Christ is the center of the angelic world  . . .they are His angels; belonging to Him as they were created through and for Him.' (CCC, pp 328)"

 

Question: Several archangels appear in your eBook, "Armor of Light: A Trilogy Story." Were you intimidated to write about them in a fictional adventure fantasy story?

"I discerned through prayer and received positive consolations of grace.  I felt especially close to archangel Raphael. Some of the dialogue in the book is quite tender, yet strong. Below an image of the archangels, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel."

Question: Peter, yesterday, we were discussing Sant Francis of Assisi and his visions of angelic beings, what were some of his other mystical experiences?

"Saint Francis of Assisi, became 'persona Christi' an eventual spiritual and physical transformation which bestowed on him the gift of 'stigmata' (the wounds of Christ).  In fact, he was one of the first reported saints to have received this mystical gift."

Question: Who was the most notable female saints who received the blessing of stigmata?

"Saint Catherine of Siena, who was also given the title of "Doctor or Teacher" of the Church.  She had an incredible life of grace, skilled in Holy diplomacy (uniting a potential schism in the Church) and received ecstatic visions.  Below is a pic and link to her book, 'The Dialogue of Saint Catherine of Siena.'"

Question: Do you agree Peter, with utter surrender to God's Will?

"Yes, we must also surrender to God's miraculous surprises and blessings. For with God, all things are possible."

Question: Peter, do you find inspiration in nature?

"Oh yes, it is imperative for me to go out on a nature walk as much as possible to 'open the flow.' Usually, God willing, I'll walk in the morning with the promise of the day ahead. By a silent prayer walk, anxiety soon melts away and I begin to become 'one' with nature,  My eyes will open to staggering beauty (which I hope to share with the world).  Here are a few pics to inspire you to get out, walk and pray for others along the way. Don't forget to look up and notice the sky and the winged creatures flying by."

Question: Do you like to write after your nature-prayer walks?  

"Yes, as 'co-creator,' with the holy spirit, I'm more open to new paths of creativity. For me, it's the most productive time. My mind is calm and I can engage new story development ideas."

Question: Saint Francis of Assisi had a mystical 'oneness' with nature. Does he inspire you?

"My goodness, how blessed are we with so many saints as role models! Saint Francis of course, the patron namesake saint of Pope Francis."  Enjoy the following pics

Question: Saint Francis of Assisi was considered to be a mystic with visions of angels.  Have you seen the famous paintings of his angelic encounters?

"Yes, here are some of the oil paintings.  The first one is by the artist, Francisco Ribalta.  The second painting by Caravaggio."

Question: Peter, why did you choose the Mont Saint-Michel abbey as a location setting in your eBook, "Armor of Light: A Trilogy Story"?

"The ancient abbey of Mont Saint-Michel near Normandy, France, is enigmatic and immediately leads one to imagine sacred splendor.  The architecture is jaw-dropping as you can see by the pics below:

"Mont Saint-Michel captures the imagination with endless possible stories.  You will enjoy the storyline in "Armor of Light: A Trilogy Story" as the abbey provides a fitting crescendo for the first book in the "trilogy within a trilogy"series. Today, there is a small contingent of monks who manage the abbey.  They are able to maintain sanctity despite the millions of tourists which descend upon Mont Saint-Michel every year."

Question: Peter, your book features mystical encounters with the angels.  Do you often pray to your guardian angel?  

"Great question! Did you know Mont Saint-Michel is named for the Archangel Michael? You can call upon your guardian angel and Saint Michael the Archangel when you become fearful as he is one of the seven archangels around the throne of God. The prayer to Saint Michael is essential and can provide comfort. Never forget, your guardian angel is with you!"

"A most blessed 'Feast of the Ascension" everyone!"

"I send you out on a mission of love and know that I AM with you always until the end of the world."
