Question: Peter, in your eBook, the protagonist, Michael, eventually is summoned to the Byzantine monastery of Vatopedi and Kristen (in disguise) to the Stavronikita monastery on the ancient Athos peninsula in Greece.  What attracted you to these monasteries? 

"As you can see from the pics below, the monasteries surrounding Mount Athos are nearly frozen in time. They are a 'hidden kingdom' of incredibly mystical and divinely spiritual edifices providing a dramatic locale for the narrative to unfold."

Question: When you're too tired to read, do you enjoy listening to audiobooks?

"One of my favorite audio 'go-to' choices is the 'Word of Promise" audio Bible. It's a monumental work with over 500 actors, a 60-piece orchestra incredible sound SFX and the best part of all, Jim Caviezel plays the voice of Jesus. I love listening to the Book of Revelation (especially at the beginning when the ascended Jesus is speaking to the seven churches).  I'm grateful to find it on youTube." Click here for a sample.

Question: Peter, you mentioned your interest in angelology.  Is there a particular angel or archangel with which you have an affinity?

"Well, mysteriously archangel Raphael resonates deeply with me.  I love The Book of 'Tobit'   in the Catholic Old Testament canon, especially when Tobit meets a disguised angel, Raphael who called himself, 'Azariah, son of Hananiah the elder, one of your own kinsmen' (Tobit 5:13). Towards the end of the Old Testament book of Tobit, 'Azariah' (whose name of Hebrew origin, meaning 'helped by God' and is a name bestowed to many figures in the Bible, from guardian angels to high priests) reveals his true identity, 'I am Raphael, one of the seven angels who enter and serve before the Glory of the Lord' (Tobit 12:15). I love The Book of Tobit and highly recommend reading it. I also look forward to celebrating 'Michaelmas' on September 29th this year (2024), the feast day of Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, the three Archangels."

Question: Do you believe in guardian angels and spirit guides? 

"Oh yes.  I'm so grateful for the many 'prompts' by my guardian angel and Holy Spirit during my lifetime. We can open up the 'reservoir of receptivity' with prayer, fasting and almsgiving. We must be vessels of love, forgiveness and selflessness.  It is so important to 'be still and silent' by making time for meditation, prayer and reflection on a daily basis.  Early mornings are most conducive for me before sunrise and taking silent nature walks." 

Question: Peter, in your eBook, "Armor of Light: A Trilogy Story," many angels eventually converge over the story arc.  Why did you decide to write it as a "trilogy within a trilogy"?

"The first eBook (released on 7/2/2024) in the series contains three story segments: 'Spirit Warrior,' 'Chaos Enfolds' and 'Redemption.'  The series (if it be God's will) to continue in the future with a second trilogy eBook and finally a separate third trilogy story wrapping up the overall epic journey of transformation. Thus, the 'trilogy within a trilogy' narrative structure. Yes, there is a trinitarian metaphor of enlightenment."

Question: Peter, is it true you met Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus in the global hit series, "The Chosen"? Tell us about your connection.

"It was a supreme moment of grace.  My home parish where I was Confirmed is at Saint Monica Catholic Community Church in Santa Monica, California.  In 2018, prior to 'The Chosen' crowd-funded series launch, Jonathan Roumie and Maria Vargo acted and directed a Passion play inside the church called, 'The Last Days.'  As I was seated in the pew, Jonathan in an extraordinary performance was mystically channeling Jesus via the Holy Spirit and walking up the nave of the church.  He was unknown then; however, it was all I could do to remain seated as I wanted to run up and hug 'Jesus.' Here's a few pics of the vintage paper program below:

At the end of the performance, Jonathan and Maria (while still in costume), greeted everyone as we left the east side entrance doors of the church.  I humbly looked up at Jonathan as 'Jesus', wearing a crown of thorns and special effects blood, barely able to say thank you as I was emotionally over-whelmed by the realistic performance.  Then, as I said, 'thank you,' he whispered, 'I saw you.'  This was such a divine consolation, that my soul felt the immediate meaning akin to Nathaniel (also known as Bartholomew) being seen standing under a fig tree by Jesus! Little did I know, Jonathan Roumie was in the room months before when I gave my witness testimony at the men's 'Cornerstone' annual retreat.  Eventually, after the first season of 'The Chosen' streamed, I saw Jonathan again and said, 'This is the role you were born to play.' He was so gracious and thrilled to be blessed with the role."

Question: What an unforgettable moment!  Since that mystical encounter, have you heard anything more from Jonathan?  

"We all have our unique ministries, our calling.  As 'The Chosen' became a worldwide phenomenon, I saw him at the parish.  Truly devout and inspiring to us all.  Here are some pics below that was a dream come true - now beloved by two Popes!"
