Question: Peter, please tell us about the "mystical sacred images" you saw on the marble floor before the Tabernacle at Saint Monica Catholic Community Church in Santa Monica, California.  What did you see?

"From 2017 approximately through 2019, I was blessed to be what is called an 'Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister' at Saint Monica Catholic Community Church (my home parish). While I was serving in this extremely sacred 'lay ministry,' I would be 'called' to go into the Tabernacle which always caused me to tremble inside.  Before Mass, I would pray for the grace and courage to serve.  While praying, I noticed some sacred images on the marble floor before the Tabernacle.  I wasn't sure at first if I was seeing 'what I thought I was seeing' and then slowly over time, more appeared to me . . . I began to see the 'Story of Christ's Life.' Let me explain further below."

"The above pic shows the placement of the Holy Tabernacle (it is to the left of the altar and recessed in a small room). It is very sacred and no one should enter without prior "liturgical approval,' "

"During the pandemic, I began to reflect on what I saw, and took a humble piece of packing paper and prayed for the Holy Spirit's guidance to help me draw ('thumbnails') of each image."

Praise the Lord, for His glory, it worked!  Now, I will show you pictures of several marble images below (you can use the above drawing as a guide, 'a map' if you will how I found them on the floor. (Before we begin, the Vatican has cautioned us on reporting apparitions in social media; however, in an act of faith, I am compelled to simply present the information and let you visit and decide for yourself.  I just could not be silent any longer).

"Crucifixion of Jesus Christ."

""The Lion and the Lamb"

First look for the lamb, then directly above the lamb is the head of a lion!  Jesus Christ was the perfect sacrifice and 'the Lion of Judah'

"Blessed Mother Mary"

Young woman, wearing long robe with a garland of sacred roses in her hair.

"Blessed Mother Mary kneeling in front of manger (her back is facing us; she is wearing a full mantle). The manger with a crib full of hay.  Above her is another 'prophetic' image, a side profile of the adult Jesus Christ, to the shoulder in robe.  He would become 'The King of the Universe,' ( a galaxy or the cosmos is behind Him)."

"Resurrection scene with angels blowing trumpets.  The stone has been rolled away.  The cave is open."

"Two seated male figures in long robes.  Moses and Elijah?  The fulfillment of the 'Transfiguration.'" 

"Male figure with sacred light overhead; possibly the Apostle John?)

"This image of Saints in robes with their backs toward us as if standing in adoration."

"This image of the marble floor for you to enlarge and view."

"Lastly, before you view in person, please go to 'Confession' first and receive the 'Blessed Sacrament.'  Then approach the Tabernacle in deep humility, kneeling on the floor (or use kneeler)."

Question: Peter, we humans must all undergo a "soul-expanding" transformation before we leave planet Earth for our heavenly home.  Do you believe in this concept?

"Yes, there is a quote from the Hebrew Bible, Book of Malachi (3:10) which resonates with me on this subject, 'I will open the windows of heaven for you.  I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have a enough room to take it all in!' I believe this blessing is 'eternal love.' Many near death experiencers share upon their return the overwhelming unconditional love they feel when they cross-over to the heavenly realms. Some state they were fundamentally changed, a 'soul expansion,' if you will."

Question: Peter, with so much nihilism in the media, especially post-pandemic, where do you find hope?

"The continuum between 'hope and nihilism (the belief that life is meaningless)' is a long one. Sadly, the nihilists don't seem to have an inspirational source at their core, they are often atheist or agnostic. We Christians must continue to remain spiritually enlightened around them in a loving, compassionate and nonjudgemental way.  We seek hope in our faith and look to our inspiring faith leaders like Pope Francis, Bishop Robert Barron and Fr. Mike Schmitz to lift our hearts with their Sunday homilies (and daily on-line media devotionals)."

"In a dream I had a few years ago, I saw Jesus' open hand in the air.  It took me only two seconds before I trusted in Him to place my hand in His. Once my hand connected with His, there was a flash of light and immense 'Love' poured into me nonstop. While this was, happening, I said to him using mental telepathy, "Jesus, I'm so glad, I put my hand in yours." I woke up to still feeling the 'Love' and remained in bed for awhile thanking the Lord for the gift. Moments like this, hold onto to carry us during difficult trials and challenges."

"The saints in heaven are all praying for us and our success here on Earth. Imagine them sitting in a heavenly stadium watching our lives on a huge digital screen and cheering us on!  They share with us in our human struggle.  Saints such as Saint Augustine of Hippo and his mother, Saint Monica who never gave up on his conversion.  He later wrote one of early history's first autobiographies, "Confessions," and eventually became a bishop.  Saint Monica would live to see his religious conversion and her husband's who was a pagan for most of his life.  These two saints continually inspire me to never lose hope."

"We must also learn to not be so hard on ourselves. We are spirits having a human experience. We were not made to be perfect, only Jesus is perfect.  Still we try and when we fall due to human nature's concupiscence, we get back up, confess and begin again.  To learn from our mistakes or wrong choices is why we are here as we transform into beings of love."

Question: Peter, what remedy do you suggest to break through "writer's block?"

"When I experience the dreaded 'writers block,' the best attitude is to welcome it. To experience 'dryness' as a writer (and for me personally a Christian one), I need to replenish the well, the 'spiritual well.' I tell myself it's time to rest from stress. It's time for a retreat to the desert and then up the spiritual mountain to 'open up the flow of grace, the source of all creation. I recommend silent prayerful walks, early morning as light is beginning to bless the new day."

"As you are walking, begin to 'self-empty' by connecting with nature all around you. Praying the rosary, helps me to shift the focus from myself to others.  For example, pray for peace, for the homeless, the outcasts and marginalized, the poor and hungry, etc.  Soon, your conscious begins to clear and peace sweeps in like a gentle breeze."

"So now, you are beginning to cast off your self-focus and suddenly you notice more beauty all around you.  The trees look different, more vibrant, heart-shaped leaves standout as if you are receiving a love-letter from the tree as you walk by.  Squirrels, rabbits, birds appear close to you unafraid . . . they sense your divine nature - a oneness you share with nature."

"Perhaps, you may be blessed to walk by a wayside devotional marker, signaling a rest stop to pause, give thanks and take in all the beauty around you." 

"As you continue your walk, you may move past streams, rivers and waterfalls.  You may feel compelled to bless them with your hands as you walk by (careful not to draw attention, keeping mindful of humility - no spiritual pride). Give thanks for the rainfall which produced them . . . Holy, a core component of life itself."

Question: Peter, if "Love" is the supreme virtue of all virtues, why do we as humans seem to stumble?  How has the quest for "Love" impacted your story writing?

"Yes, the quest for 'Love' perhaps is a metaphor for the "Holy Grail."  If God is 'Love,' as defined in the Gospel of John, then is has been revealed to us as the 'Truth' of our existence. Let's review the eight different kinds of 'Love' as defined by the ancient Greeks.

The first type of 'Love' is 'Eros Love.' This kind of love at its core is sensuality, the physical embodiment of attraction between two people, leading to sexual passion.

The second type of 'Love' is 'Philia Love,"  This kind of love is deep friendship.  Think of those friends who have been helpful to you through the years.  You are at ease around them enjoying their companionship and can easily confide in them fearing no judgement.

The third type of 'Love' is called, 'Ludus Love.' This kind of love is characterized by a playful, flirting, joking and typified by 'living in the moment,' without major commitments.

The fourth type of 'Love' is called, 'Pragma Love.' This kind of love is seen in many kinds of longstanding relationships, long-term marriages and friendships.  It can be described as somewhat 'business-like,' symbiotic, a mutual beneficial arrangement.  

A fifth type of 'Love' is called 'Storge Love.'  This kind of love is best described as family love with siblings, cousins, offspring; familial love.

A sixth type of 'Love' is called, 'Philautia Love.' This kind of love is characterized by self-love; a regard for one's own happiness. self-compassion.  An adverse side of 'Philautia Love' is narcissism, egotism.

A seventh type of 'Love' is called, 'Mania Love.' This is obsessive love; generally mentally unhealthy; a disordered love which can result in severe codependency and jealousy.

The eight type of 'Love' is called, 'Agape Love.'  This kind of love is considered the highest form of love.  It is an all-giving, selfless love; the love of God for human beings and the human reciprocal love of God; a oneness.  It can be altruistic, the love for one's fellow human beings.  It is described in the New Testament and in many Christian aspirational settings.

"These eight previous types of 'Love' defined by the ancient Greeks have been embraced by writers through the millennia and are central to human motivation, and learning. 'Love' is an essential component of the "Armor of Light' and what it means to be human, made in God's image and likeness."
